Wacky Web Links

Links updated April 8, 2007

As I run across more strange or funny or just neat web sites, I'll add them here. In the meantime, if you run across any sites that should be on this page, please email me about them using the address at the bottom of the home page of this web site. Also, if any of these links don't work, please let me know.  Thanks!

Check out The Mad Music Archive, where there is lots of information about demented music and artists.  They also have a great weekly 2-hour podcast of wacky music -- I HIGHLY recommend it!  And be sure to use the link on the site to send a PayPal donation to Caption Wayne, who has done a fantastic job of creating and maintaining the site.  He also creates the weekly Mad Music Show podcast.  I have no idea how he has the time to do all of this and also hold down a real job.

Dr. Demento -- The Official Dr. Demento Web Site -- Dr. Demento hosts a nationally syndicated (but not in Charlotte, dad-gum-it!) radio show that plays novelty songs (including my own creation "I Want A Blow-Up Doll For Christmas").  There is also an unofficial site here

The Big Show Online -- -- The official home page of John-Boy & Billy, two of my favorite radio personalities. They are now syndicated throughout the Southeast -- check out their station list page to see if they are in your area. If you are somewhere like, say, Buffalo, NY, I doubt very seriously if they are on a station in your area.

The Bob & Tom Show -- The official home page of Bob & Tom, two more of my favorite radio personalities.  They are also syndicated over a wide area, and their web site has a station list.  These guys always have great comedians on their show, and lots of crazy songs.  ("Camel Toe" is my favorite.)

Insane Pictures -- A great source for goofy pictures and funny jokes.

Four Word Film Reviews -- All of your favorite movies reviewed in only four words!

Wrecked Exotics -- This is an extensive collection of photos of wrecked Ferraris, Rolls-Royces, Lamborghinis, etc.  Now you can see what happens when someone has more money than sense!

Misheard Song Lyrics -- This is the best collection of misheard lyrics that I have found.  Example:  ever heard "There's a bathroom on the right" in Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Bad Moon Rising"?  Sure ... lot's of people have!

Goofball.com -- Great source for all kinds of crazy junk.  Jokes, crazy photos and cartoons, audio and video files .... all kinds of crap!  Great site!

Parodyville -- All kinds of hilarious stuff! If you dig deep enough, you may find the source of some of the crazy pictures on my goofy pic page.

New Ground Atomix -- This site requires the Macromedia Shockwave browser plug-in, and may take a little longer to load the pages, but it is certainly entertaining. Be sure and check out the Telebubby Fun Land -- this one is quite sick, and therefore, hilarious. Definitely not for the easily offended!

Farts.com -- If it is related to farts in any way, it is probably here. They even sell fart-related merchandise, and you can get an email address so that your address ends in @farts.com! (Yes, of course I now have an email address there!)

The Onion -- Great parody newspaper -- it's all made up! Again, not for the easily offended, but it is absolutely hilarious.

Chickenhead -- Another humor site, and this one is quite bizarre. Has some great fake web advertising banners, such as the one shown here.

The Tacky Postcard Archive -- A great collection of tacky postcards, thus living up to its name.

The Dead People Server -- Ever wonder if some celebrity is still alive? Here's the database where you can find out. Is comedian Pat Paulsen still alive? (No.) How about Frank Cady, who played Mr. Drucker on Green Acres ? (Still alive.)

Mad Libs -- Did you ever play with one of those "Mad Libs" books when you were a kid. (I realize that the answer to this question may depend on how long ago you were a kid.) To play Mad Libs, you had to supply words of a particular type (i.e. adjective, noun, verb, etc.) when prompted. Once the word list was complete, the words were inserted into blanks in a short (very short!) story. The results were either hilarious or extremely stupid and made no sense, depending on your mood at that particular time. This page is an on-line version of Mad Libs - give it a try!

The Butt Page -- Just what you have been looking for -- documented medical records of people going to the emergency room with stuff stuck up their butt!

The Pornolizer -- Go to this page, enter any URL, and it changes the text on the web page to disgusting porno-like language.  This site is definitely not for kids.
